The ARF! Festival, dedicated to comics, celebrates its milestone tenth edition from May 24th to 26th, 2024, at the Pelanda del Mattatoio and the Città dell’Altra Economia in Rome. This event is a haven for comic enthusiasts, writers, artists, and readers.
Key highlights of the festival include:
▪ Job ARF!: A unique opportunity where emerging authors can interview with publishing houses, creating professional opportunities.
▪ ARFist Alley: Meet renowned stars of the national and international comic scene, including Rafael Albuquerque, Ivàn Brandon, Otto Schmidt, Sara Pichelli, and the Moleste Collective, for signing sessions and commissions.
▪ Self ARF!: A “festival within the Festival” dedicated to self-produced and independent micro-publishing, with free admission.
▪ ARF! Kids: An area designed for young attendees, featuring creative workshops, book meetings, readings, and drawing sessions guided by Italian children’s publishing talents.
▪ TALK Room: The heart of ARF!, hosting discussions with Italian and foreign comics protagonists, publishers, authors, and cultural personalities.
▪ International Guests: Notable guests include Dave McKean (UK), Baru (France), Lâm Hoàng Trúc (Vietnam), and Rafael Albuquerque (Brazil), alongside Italian talents like Vittorio Giardino, Alessandro Baronciani, and many others.
BOOKSHOW®: An immersive exhibition space featuring Italian Comics publishers, new releases, quality selections, and author sketches.

Tickets for ARF! Festival 2024 can be obtained through online channels or directly at the festival box office located at the Mattatoio. The festival welcomes the public from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Please note that the on-site ticket office will close promptly at 7:00 PM each day.
